Do I need to let my gelato sit before eating?
Everything depends on your freezer temperature, but usually, we recommend letting it get to the standard serving temperature for around 5 to 10 minutes to indulge in a creamier experience. This is because we are all natural and don’t use any artificial softeners in our gelato.
What is the minimum order?
The minimum order is 4 pints. We can fit up to 8 pints per box and the shipping rate will stay the same.
Are all the flavors non-dairy? No sugar added? Gluten-free?
That’s right! None of our flavors contains lactose, gluten, or any added sugar!
What does it mean to be certified Non-GMO, Vegan, Gluten-Free and Kosher Parve?
You may rest assured that all our products are free of genetically modified ingredients and gluten. Vegallia maintains a plant-based and Kosher products because our manufacturing facility is exclusively ours, therefore we keep a controlled environment without any cross-contamination in our machinery from other products or ingredients.
Is the gelato all natural?
Yes indeed! We do not use any artificial ingredients, softeners, or colors in our delicious treat. The stabilizer comes from plants as well. Our gelato is also free of soy and high fructose corn syrup (HFCS).
What are functional ingredients?
Functional ingredients are meant to produce a positive health outcome via physiological activity in our bodies. This includes, but are not limited to, digestive health, cognitive health, anti-inflammatory properties, and immune support.
There are some ingredients I haven’t heard of before, what are they?
We work with state-of-the-art, functional ingredients that are carefully selected and backed by nutritionists and food science experts to be the best and most beneficial for your body with very low calories.
All of our ingredients are plant-based and certified non-GMO, meaning that they have not been genetically modified and still keep their natural and organic properties. Here are some of them:
Monk Fruit: This is a small, round fruit that grows on vines native to China and Thailand. We use it in its purest organic concentration (this is why it appears as the last listed ingredient) as our principal sweetener. Monk fruit is significantly sweeter than sugar, and it doesn’t affect the glycemic index! It’s also rich in antioxidants, contains anti-inflammatory properties, and has many more benefits to our health.
Soluble Corn Fiber: Also known as Maltodextrin, this is derived primarily from a non-GMO grain starch. It’s mainly used to supplement dietary fiber. It is considered a functional ingredient because its richness in fiber helps slow sugar absorption by suppressing post-meal blood sugar rise, promotes mineral absorption, and has an intestinal healing effect, among many other benefits!
Sorbitol: This is a sugar alcohol and, just like all the sugars alcohols, they are naturally produced in plants during photosynthesis. Sorbitol is found naturally in blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, apples, apricots, avocados, cherries, peaches, and plums. It is a great alternative to sweetening the food, as it helps control the sugar in your body and keep the skin moisture.
Xylitol: Another sugar alcohol that's found naturally in berries, plums, oats, mushrooms, lettuce, birch trees, and some other fruits. One of its many benefits is to help protect your oral health by reducing the risk of tooth decay and much more.
